In which Terra and Locke encounter Uncle Ulty yet again and everything is right with the world.

I just saw the most heroic dog. He pulled a child out of a burning building and pulled an ice-based monster inside of it. He's going to guest write this. ,xvm.?C,.alvaaka.lagawke;ag .a,g |
Never mind, that wasn't as great an idea as I thought it would be. |
Read: He's going to hit the nearest bar. |

Adamanchyt is a palette swap of something outside. If you fight them, they sometimes sneeze, and as their name implies, they have high defense anyway. Drill works, but Edgar isn't around. |
Slurm is highly addictive and is advertized as by Slurms Mackenzie, the original party worm. They are produced on the planet Wormulon and come from a slug's butt. They don't really do anything, and fire 2 crushes them like a worm crushing a smaller worm. Gollyriffic! Splentacular! Who do they think they are, anyway, Amy? Nimspleen the Magnifispendid? Keep your heads down and keep your mouth shut, grunka lunka lunka dunkity dutt. |
Abolisher uses Pearl Wind after three turns. They're just palette swaps anyway. Pearl Wind heals for Strago's current HP. It's not completely useless, and it's not as bizarre as Odyssey: The Legend of Nemesis' Zenoheal, which heals you for half of the difference between your max HP and your current HP. I suppose you could use it when someoneÕs been really hurt by a single target attack, but thatÕs about it. |
Mandrakes are the most dangerous enemies here. The bestiary says their vines are made out of metal. The bestiary says other things, so take that how you will. |
Insecare are basically crasshoppers or weed feeders with different colors. |
Yes, Terra. The statues. The ones that Kefka was talking about. Wait, Terra doesn't know that. But Locke does. |
Actually, they're just simulacra of the statues, but even they have power. Espers are transformed humans, which says something about Terra. They transformed themselves into statues and gave the Espers their free will. |
Uncle Ulty thinks they're pretty treasures. |
He's Locke as a land octopus. While the most intelligent of the mollusks, there are reasons octopuses and other cephalopods never made it on land, despite what Jen said about octopuses being in space some time in the future. Space octopuses are just as ridiculous. They're too mushy, and lack a skeleton to support them. Slugs may manage, but they're small and don't have room for a brain. |
Uh, no. Now, space. That's even worse. There's no air, but a propulsion system might work, if they could produce ink to spray out and could stop and turn around efficiently. |
It's time for battle! |
I was just thinking about you! He'll use Lode Stone, move towards you every other turn, and use either Aqua Rake or Magnitude 8 when he moves towards you 8 times. Magic throws him back, but five spells cause him to go red and you get the message "Ultros' form has changed. Beware his tri-elemental attack!" meaning spells are countered with their level 3 equivalent. At 15360 HP, Ulty will use Haste and Safe on himself and say "Hope I'm not making a nuisance of myself! So sorry!" Flame Sabers and Thunder Blades are nice to use. |
At 10240 HP, Relm arrives. |
Unnecessary screenshot. |
Snork. |
He makes Relm sad. |
Heh, Uncle Ulty. Now, to respond to this, use the sketch command. A tentacle will swat him. |
...stupid octopus! How can this be? I thought he was aware that he was an octopus. Anydangway... |
You have Relm now. If I played IV after VI, IÕd say that Rydia was Relm without the good. Or maybe Terra without the good. Relm's the closest thing this game has to a pure mage. Unlike Rydia, Relm does not spazz out upon seeing fire, despite being locked up in a burning house and being rescued by a doggy. He's a nice doggy, though. He would often say things like "I would feel infinitely more comfortable in your presence if you agreed to treat gravity as a law instead of one of a number of suggested options" |
Unfortunately, you need to equip espers on Relm in order to use her supreme magic power. There's a bunch of them here, but they can never be yours. |
Sure they did. |
Also, I would like to address someone. Please do not use Rydia and badassery in the same sentence. I just did, but that's ok, because I'm saying that she is not badass and she is most definitely not badass as a child. Do Terra, Celes, and Ashe flip out when seeing fire? NO. |
Go back to Thamasa, where General Leo congratulates you and Celes stands there. The Emperor wants peace, Kefka's rotting in the brig for war crimes, and the Espers are willing to accept that peace offering. Not much left to do here. Give yourself a pat on the back for a jorb well done. |
